Nintendo revealed the launch date for Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. The 3DS remake of the Wii platformer is due out on the handheld on May 24.

Funnily enough, that’s all the company announced in its rather brief press release. Nintendo also sent the image above. It’s fitting for Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, though it’s certainly offbeat.

Between being jokingly called a bitch and this ape picture, it’s sure been an interesting day for press releases.
