This fall will see a clash of the titans, when Battlefield 3 and presumably the yet-to-be announced Modern Warfare 3 release. EA feels it has the upper hand this time around, with company boss John Ricitiello confident that it will topple Call of Duty. How serious is EA? Well, for one, it’s dumping around hundred million of marketing dollars in the product.
Beyond dropping that lofty figure, Ricitiello proclaimed to marketers at the Ad Age conference that “We think we’ve got the better product.”
Regardless of whether it outsells the juggernaut that is Call of Duty, Battlefield 3 will undoubtedly be deserving of the sales numbers, as it’s looking mighty impressive. Don’t take our word for it, just check out the latest gameplay spots.
Thanks, IndustryGamers.
