Last month, Harmonix announced that it would soon call it a day on delivering regular tracks to Rock Band via DLC. As indicated by Polygon, the studio has revealed that the last song to land on the franchise’s download network will be “American Pie” by Don McLean.

April 2 will mark the final day that Rock Band gets new DLC. The series has been receiving updates for more than 275 weeks back-to-back. In that time, over 4,000 songs have been released digitally for the games.

Oh, and before you ask, there’s probably not going to be an encore.
