Earlier this morning, Nintendo revealed the price and launch date for the Wii U. The upcoming platform will be available in two sets. The first is a white 8GB console that includes a sensor bar, GamePad AC adapter, Wii U AC adapter, and HDMI cable, priced at $299.99. The second is a black 32GB console that includes all of the aforementioned necessities, as well as a Wii U stand, GamePad stand, GamePad cradle, and a copy of Nintendo Land, which is priced at $349.99. The console is due out on November 18.

So, what do you folks think of the price? I’ve already seen plenty of individuals pretty divided on the matter, with some saying the Wii U is a tad pricey and others saying it isn’t. Personally, while I was expecting a $249.99 price point, I still don’t think the current models are valued terribly. That said, 32GB of storage space is a bit questionable. I suppose we can look forward to model revisions with more internal storage down the road. Ugh …

A number of launch window titles have been confirmed for the Wii U. These include New Super Mario Bros. U, Game & Wario, ZombiU, and Bayonetta 2 among others. As is usually the case with the incoming launch of a new console, I’m pretty excited about the Wii U. How do you all feel about it? Will you be snagging a Wii U on day one? Which model will you be going with?
