Double Dragon: Neon Launches, Free for PS Plus Members

More cloud storage courtesy of the latest firmware update isn’t the only thing PlayStation Plus subscribers have in store for them. Since you’re the owner of a machine dedicated to playing video games, you may be happy to know that that’s exactly what you’re getting!

Double Dragon: Neon launched on the PlayStation Network earlier today, and it’s priced at a reasonable $9.99. But that’s only if you’re not a Plus member. Those who are can play the game absolutely free of charge. Obviously, if you dug the Double Dragon series back in the day and have a hankering for some retro-flavored goodness, this should come as great news for you.

I’ve spent some time playing Double Dragon: Neon today, and I’ve been having an absolute blast. WayForward sure knows how to strike a balance between nostalgic awesomeness and modern appeal.

Speaking of retro-inspired titles, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game is also free. I’ve never played that game, so I immediately downloaded it once I saw it in the PlayStation Store with its $9.99 price tag crossed out. Yay for free games!
