Phantasy Star Online 2 PS Vita Bound In 2013, Supports Cross Platform Play With PC Version

As was strongly hinted at earlier last week, Sega’s formally announced that Phantasy Star Online 2 is headed to the PS Vita in 2013. While details are scant, producer Satoshi Sakai noted on the official Phantasy Star blog that the game is only around 10% complete.

Notably, the title will support cross-platform play with the PC version. That means characters will transfer over across both versions.

Hit up the video below for a few short bursts of gameplay footage. According to Sakai the footage is rather rough, with the graphic settings on par with low settings if using the PC as a baseline. Understandable given how early in development it is. As noted in an Andriasang report, the team expects to achieve parity with high settings on the PC in some respects with further optimization.
