Update: DICE rendering architect Johan Andersson says these aren’t the real deal in a post over at Beyond3D. Apparently GS lifted them from a BF fansite.
Is your rig up to snuff for what will undoubtedly be one of the biggest titles to grace PC this year? While we have yet to receive official word from DICE, a GameStop listing has outed the system requirements for Battlefield 3. Here’s the skinny:
Minimum
Hard Drive Space: 15 GB for disc version or 10 GB for digital version
OS: Windows Vista or Windows 7
Processor: Core 2 Duo @ 2.0GHz
RAM: 2GB
Video Card: DirectX 10 or 11 compatible Nvidia or AMD ATI cardRecommended
Hard Drive Space: 15 GB for disc version or 10 GB for digital version
OS: Windows 7 64-bit
Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU
RAM: 4GB
Video Card: DirectX 11 Nvidia or AMD ATI card, GeForce GTX 460, Radeon Radeon HD 6850
About in line with what we expected. Note the Windows Vista/7 requirement, as DICE did say it was leaving DX9 behind with the release of BF3.
