Publisher THQ has shuttered Digital Warrington and Homefront developer Kaos Studios, calling the move a “strategic realignment.” Homefront hit shelves three months ago, released to mixed reception. Despite this, it still sold a healthy 1 million units and shipped 2.4 million. From here on out, THQ’s Montreal arm will take over development on the franchise.

Additionally, THQ confirmed that it is giving affected employees the opportunity to interview for positions elsewhere in the company.

“THQ’s UK studio and KAOS employees will have the opportunity to interview for open positions with the company globally.”
