Indie dev Blind Mind Studios isn’t turning a blind eye to GameStop’s recent acquisition of Impulse, announcing imminent plans to ditch the service for good. The dev cites “GameStop’s long, negative behavior toward the PC platform and independent games” as a key reason for parting ways.

“We feel GameStop cannot serve as the leader of a true competitor in the digital distribution market,” further read a post on the company’s official site.

Retail giant GameStop announced its acquisition of Impulse last week, a rising competitor in the digital distribution space previously owned by Stardock. Seems the move has ruffled a few feathers, if this latest development is any indication.

Blind Mind says it still intends to deliver automatic updates through Impulse for any current customers going forward.
