Crytek UK Has Big Surprise In Store, Plans for E3 Unveil

With Crytek’s Crysis 2 hitting store shelves next week, the company is ramping up hype for its next project, one that’s in development at its UK arm. Crytek co-founder Avni Yerli tells Develop that the unveil, which will likely make an E3 apperance, will make the gaming scene “very pleased.”

We come to mutual conclusions on projects, and I think at E3 this year – or just after – we are going to make a big announcement that I think people will be happy about.

The sentiment that “people will be happy” certainly seems to indicate that something is receiving the sequel treatment. Could it be a new TimeSplitters? One can hope.

Prior to being acquired by Crytek UK, Free Radical were working on TimeSplitters 4. Since then, the studio has expressed interest in reviving the franchise, though nothing concrete has come to light.

What about Kingdoms?

MenaceInc says:

Kingdoms is being developed by Crytek Budapest, not Crytek UK.
