New Studio, ‘Beachhead’, to Handle Digital CoD Content & CoD Free-to-Play Title Announced

Accompanying the details that Activision Blizzard will be axing Guitar Hero, Bobby Kotick also announced that the company has established a new studio, Beachhead, whose sole responsibility will be Call of Duty content. Beachhead will create “best-in-class online community, exclusive content, and a suite of services to supercharge the online gaming experience like never before.”
Additionally, Kotick revealed that the company will be releasing a free-to-play version of Call of Duty for the Chinese market sometime next year. No other details have been announced at this time.
