Xbox 360 To Have PS2-Like Legs

Unlike Sony and its PS2, Microsoft completely ditched its last-gen gaming platform, the Xbox, shortly after the Xbox 360 was released. So is the Xbox 360 going to suffer the same fate as its predecessor? According to Microsoft exec Mindy Mount, the answer is no. She implies that the Xbox 360 will be around for years to come, much like the PS2.
Look at the PS2; they’ve gone long-time and seem to have pretty good legs on what they are doing. If we were able to do that, as CFO I think that’s great, because every year you draw it out you increase profitability.
You know this is good to hear. At any rate, I can see this generation lasting longer simply due to the fact that most people are just getting into HD.
