Windows Live launching May 8

Microsoft has confirmed that their online gaming community will be expanding May 8, with the launch of Windows Live.
Coinciding with the release of Halo 2 Vista, Live brings Xbox Live features to Windows gamers and connects them to the established Xbox Live community with over 6 million users worldwide. As expected, pricing is also identical to the Xbox Live service. The Gold tier will cost $49.95 per year while Silver is free to all users.
