By way of an invitation email that just hit our inbox, we’ve learned that Valve will be showing off Portal 2 at a special press-only event on June 14, the day before E3. Beverages are also promised, so we’re understandably pumped. While there’s no word on what the demonstration will entail, we’ll be sure to relay our impressions of the event.

A follow-up to 2008’s smash puzzle hit, Portal 2 is due out this holiday season on Xbox 360 and PC.
