Word from an Eidos spokesperson this morning is that the first chapter of Xbox 360 exclusive Tomb Raider Underworld downloadable content, entitled Beneath the Ashes, will not make its previously scheduled February 10 release date.

In a statement, Eidos centered blame on “technical issues” for the abrupt delay and could not offer revised release date at this time, further promising that the content will come “as soon as possible.”

An unexpected technical issue means that Beneath the Ashes will not be available to download on 10th February as planned. We apologize for this delay and we are doing everything we can to bring you this exciting new content for Tomb Raider: Underworld as soon as possible.

Bummer. As soon as we get word of a updated drop date for the DLC, we’ll let you know.
