Splinter Cell: Conviction Unveiled

Well, ok, we already knew it was coming thanks to that little Ubisoft slip-up a few months ago. Nevertheless, Finnish video games magazine Pelaaja has now revealed some juicy plot details on Sam Fisher’s next operation: Splinter Cell: Conviction.

Developed by Ubisoft’s Montreal studio (the guys who made the original SC and Chaos Theory), Conviction follows the events of Fisher joining the Third Echelon in order to help Anna Grimsdottir. However, the Third Echelon is not what it used to be and in the first mission Fisher receives false intel and the wrong equipment. Then Fisher comes to find out the threat to Anna comes from within the Third Echelon, quits and becomes a fugitive.

The mag also states that the game will be exclusive to the Xbox 360 and PC. Though that could change in the near-future.
