In what seems to be commonplace for major Xbox 360 releases these days, a digital copy of Capcom’s survival horror sequel Resident Evil 5 is already making rounds on torrent sites, ahead of its scheduled March 13 release date.

Weighing in at a 6.71GB, the release was dumped from a USA region disc and according to various reports, has been confirmed as the full retail version. Doing a quick search on a popular torrent site showed over 4000 people downloading the ISO file, which was posted just a couple hours ago. Shame, but like we said, this isn’t the first time it has happened. Capcom can’t be very happy about it, obviously. Hopefully the real fans can wait it out another week and not resort to piracy.

Or they can make PS3 exclusives where backups can't be played on that system :)

Spoken like a true PS fanboy j/k I prefer my PS3 over my 360. But the fact of the matter is this No matter what you say about Exclusives going to other systems. You have to see it through their Vantage point.

1/ The top Selling Consoles belong to both Nintendo and M$ while Sony is lacking in PS3 sales (having no Ps2 backwards compatibility is also hurting them now)

2/ Instead of focusing on the PS3 (by leaving the PS2 Compatibility) they're still pumping out games for their beloved PS2 (Heck the PS2 seems to be selling more then the PS3 the only difference to most of the PS2/PS3 games were the graphics, and other tweeks here and there)

3/ Sony is still paying development costs on Blu-Ray Drivers and Disc's while 360 and Wii still use Standard DVD's (and the 360's DVD pump out 1080p as opposed to most PS3 "BLU RAY" games at 720p) This cuts the cost for M$ and Nintendo enabling them to lower the costs of the Consoles.
ex) PS3 80GB = 399.99 120GB = 499.99, 360 60GB = 299.99 120GB(aka Elite) = 399.99, Wii = 269.99

So even if Capcom decided to make Exclusives, they're still going to go with the Stronger Consoles in the Market at this time. Which is still the Wii and 360 unfortunately.
