Staying true to their word, developer 4A Games has outlined the contents of its first downloadable content pack for post-apocalyptic shooter Metro 2033. Dubbed the “Ranger Pack,” it is set to bring forth new weapons, achievements worth 250 in Gamerscore points, and optional variations on gameplay in the form of two modes: Ranger and Ranger Hardcore.

In Ranger mode, ammo is scarce while weapons incur more damage to enemies. To compensate, the enemy AI has been made more aggressive. Ranger Hardcore adds an additional challenge, entirely removing HUD elements in-game.

Two new weapons are due for inclusion, including the Heavy Automatic Shotgun, and Volt Driver, While a price and release date have yet to be set, THQ says details on that front are forthcoming.
