Up until now, gamers have been able to play Xbox 360 games offline without having to upgrade to the fully redesigned, Avatar sporting New Xbox Experience dashboard. That’s all changed, though, as reports indicate that recently released titles like HAWX and MLB: 2K9 actually require NXE to be installed, whether you use Live or not.

What does this mean for the majority of us? In short, nothing. But if for whatever reason you’ve been clinging on to the old blade-like interface, then it’s time to get with the times and move on, pal. At least if you want to play new 360 titles, that is.

LAME.

Just another way for Micro$oft to have and Maintain Control. I don't think they like there consumers to have choices. Just like ending support for XP, and Requiring Halo 2 for PC be run on Vista when xp mods run perfectly fine. Great lets all dump money into Steve Ballmer/Bill Gates Lap.

only time this will be a problem is if someone dosnt have internet unless the games come with the software on them...

Yeah and most people also don't want to connect their 360s to the Internet. Due to bandwidth constrictions.
