Microsoft today announced that a Xbox 360 dashboard update is set to hit this fall, complete with a fully redesigned 3D interface.

In addition to a clean, sleek look, the new dashboard will feature a Mii-esque avatar system. Avatars will be customizable from head to toe. Additional clothes for your avatar will be available for purchase through the Xbox Live Marketplace, though pricing details were not divulged at the conference.
