Microsoft Offers Inexpensive Memory Upgrades To Select Xbox 360 Owners

Last week, Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb confirmed that the New Xbox Experience for 360 will require a hard drive or at least 128MB of free space on a standalone memory card. As promised, Microsoft is offering a solution to those who have neither or are low on memory space.

Owners of a Core unit can head on over to Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Memory Upgrade page and enter in their console serial number to be eligible for a free 512MB memory card or a discounted 20GB hard drive priced at only $20. Additionally, owners of the newer Arcade model who are low on space can opt for a 20GB hard drive and a three month Xbox Live Gold membership — all for $30. Not a bad deal at all.

The New Xbox Experience is slated to launch worldwide on November 19.
