Microsoft Approves PC to 360 Level Editors

Has Microsoft found a way to keep Epic happy? Possibly, with the Xbox Live Silver Platform. XLSP-certified development studios can deliver content through the game publisher’s servers, allowing for user generated content to be downloaded, as long as it is within the publisher’s guidelines.
Does this mean a developer could build a level editor for PC, then use content created from the editor on Xbox 360? The answer is yes, according Microsoft Software Design Engineer Zsolt Mathe.
Even though nobody has done that, I would highly recommend that.
Sounds like great news for Unreal Tournament 3. One of the hold ups on its release was due to Microsoft’s user-generated content restrictions. It seems that, with XLSP, this won’t be as much of an issue anymore.
