Left 4 Dead 2 Boycott Founders Visit Valve, Walk Away Impressed

Valve’s dedication towards its fanbase once again goes unrivaled, having invited two of the Left 4 Dead 2 boycott founders to their development studio in Bellevue, Washington. Echoing impressions in our hands-on report published during E3, the two walked away impressed and were devoid of any negative comments concerning the sequel, judging from a written message on the boycott’s official Steam group:
As for L4D2, things seemed balanced and ‘tight’ and did not feel like a rushed job. While we were visiting their offices we personally witnessed what can only be called a small army of artists, coders, mappers hard at work, which explains the rapid transformations in artwork that we’ve all seen.
The main drive for the boycott, however, was not concerns over Left 4 Dead 2 but rather the question of if Valve would continue supporting the original L4D. On that front, the two boycott founders were met with satisfaction, noting that the team is actively in purist of patching up bugs as well as deliver on their promise of releasing an addition campaign, Crash Course.
Despite being impressed on seemingly all fronts, the boycott founders are keeping the group up and running until their “individual concerns are addressed.” Must say I’m honestly surprised by this. The amount of folks partaking in the boycott was relatively small, at least compared to how many bought L4D. Valve could have totally ignored this ordeal, but instead went the extra mile. Kudos.
