It’s official: Halo Wars is a hit. But who expected otherwise? Microsoft sends along word today that the strategy RPG effort, handled by the now-defunct Age of Empires developer Ensemble Studios, has sold through one million copies worldwide. A coveted milestone to reach, no doubt.

Since its inception last month, Halo Wars has seen a total of 2.6 million matches hosted over Live. Moveover, an average of 200,000 people have participate in battles each day, logging in 118 years worth of play time total.

The studio who made this game also made Age of Mythology (+expansion packs).

I'm glad Ensemble's last title has been a success. I've got so many fond memories of some of their work. Its good to see them go out with a bang.

Well, the former employees are making a new company, so we might get some more of their esteemed work.

Also glad to have you back in the Forums, GuiltySpark. :D
