[Update: Bungie has officially confirmed the new limited edition Halo: Reach Xbox 360 system in a new unboxing video. You can check out the video after the break, in which they also unbox the Legendary edition of Halo: Reach]

Microsoft and Bungie are prepping a Halo Reach-themed Xbox 360 hardware bundle to coincide with the game’s debut, according to information dug up by Ars Technica’s trusty mole. Said to be available in limited quantites, the bundle features a slimline 360 unit decked in silver, coupled with the game itself, two wireless Halo controllers, and a 250GB hard drive. The privilege of making all your Halo-loving friends envious will reportedly set you back $399.

To add fuel to the fire, an image inadvertently went up earlier today on the official Xbox.com product pages showing a Halo Reach branded 360 controller. Shown above via E4G, it sports an array of hex-like decals plastered over its shiny surface. A subtle, yet effective design.

With two Halo-centric panels scheduled for Comic Con, chances are Microsoft will issue an official announcement soon.
