Is the Falcon finally here? According to a user on the Xbox.com forums, Microsoft has begun to use 65nm process technology in new Xbox 360 units.
So far the new 65nm CPU chips are confirmed as being used in “some” Halo 3 Limited Edition Xbox 360 units. We can’t say for sure if all Halo 3 LE units contain the new CPU.
Will this bring an end to the dreaded RRoD? Of course it’ll help, but likely not solve the problem — as the GPU in these new units is still 90nm.
