After issuing a tease on Twitter last week, Rockstar Games today announced that the second round of downloadable content for GTA IV is entitled The Ballad of Gay Tony.

Exclusive to Xbox 360, the content will be offered over XBLM and in a two-piece disc bundle collectively known as Episodes from Liberty City. A retail-only offering, the bundle packs both The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony onto a single DVD.

The Ballad of Gay Tony injects Liberty City with an overdose of guns, glitz, and grime. As Luis Lopez, part-time hoodlum and full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince (aka “Gay Tony”), players will struggle with the competing loyalties of family and friends, and with the uncertainty about who is real and who is fake in a world in which everyone has a price.

The retail disc set will carry a price point of $39.99 and interestingly, will not require a copy of GTA IV to play. As a standalone offering, The Ballad of Gay Tony will cost 1600 MS points on Live and unlike the retail package, does require players to have GTA IV. Both the disc set and DLC are slated for a fall release. More information is due out “within the coming weeks and months,” according to Rockstar.
