Fable II Online Co-Op Won’t Be Available At Launch

Although the game already went gold, development on Xbox 360 action RPG Fable II hasn’t quite wrapped up yet. Word from Microsoft community manager Sara Nicholson is that the game’s online co-op aspect won’t be available on day one, as Molyneux and co are still busy polishing it up to make certain everything is fully functional and bug-free.

Developer Lionhead plans to make the online co-op mode available within a week after launch in the form of a title update. Do note, that even without the co-op patch, players will still able to see folks on their XBL friends list as glowing orbs in single player mode. Additionally, you’ll be able to chat and trade items with friends when connected to the internet.

Fable II is scheduled to hit North American retailers on October 21.
