Dyack On Too Human 2: The Wait Won’t Be As Long

Disregarding previous incarnations on the N64 and PSOne, the oft-delayed action RPG Too Human has endured a lengthy three year development cycle following Silicon Knights decision to release the title exclusively on Xbox 360. Since the franchise has been envisioned as a trilogy, a burning question on many minds is, how long will we have to wait for the second installment?

The answer is: not long. Speaking to press at a recent event in London, Too Human producer Denis Dyack went on record to say the wait for the second game in the trilogy should not be as long. Now that the engine is finalized, development will be smoother, says Dyack:

We’re not announcing anything on the second or third game here. We’re here to talk about the first. But people should be fairly happy at the development process from here on in. There won’t be any more engine re-writes or anything like that. So it should be a lot smoother waters.

That’s good to hear. Now it’s just too bad that the first game has been receiving mediocre reviews from outlets across the board. My guess is, sales will ultimately determine whether or not the trilogy continues.
