Bach: LIVE Has No Competition

Think Microsoft is worried about the PlayStation Network? Think again. Speaking in a recent interview with the LA Times, Microsoft entertainment chief Robbie Bach outright dismissed Sony’s online plans while touting the success of their LIVE service:

It’s fair to say that Xbox Live is clearly head and shoulders above anything anyone else has tried to do. We don’t have competition.

Sony has done some things online, but nothing that can be called a service. We have a big advantage and we’re going to keep pressing that advantage.

Nothing that can be called a service? Nothing like trash talk on a Monday morning.

I think that is just a cocky statement. I mean the playstation network is behind live yes but live has also had alot more time to grow. Well see once they get movies and stuff on psn they will pretty much be the same. And as far as how games play online there is no difference i have no problems with either.

Either way I don't think centralized online gaming is where it's at anyways... I mean, I think everything would be handled alot better if the individual publishers or developers handled the online for their games. XBL isn't that great, the gaming aspect, anyways, IMO.
