Namco Bandai’s upcoming sports title We Ski has officially gone gold and is being handed off to manufacturers in preparation for its May 13 retail release date, the publisher announced today.

“Namco Bandai has worked to create the most intuitive and responsive skiing game available, giving players a fully immersive experience,” said Todd Thorson, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Namco Bandai Games America Inc. “We want players to feel the fun and intensity of real downhill skiing from the comfort of their living rooms.”

In addition to waggle controls, We Ski offers full compatibility with Nintendo’s upcoming Wii Balance Board peripheral. The game boasts more than a dozen snowy slopes to race on, along with Mii support and a myriad of customization options that allow players to change their character’s attire from head to toe.
