It’s the week before Brawl will finally reach North American store shelves and many were expecting the original Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 64 to hit the Virtual Console today. But alas, that is not the case.

This week’s Virtual Console update highlights a single title, namely Factor 5’s hit shoot ‘em up Super Turrican (SNES – 800 Wii Points). The game is reminiscent of Metroid, featuring large-scale levels to explore and engage in. Yes, it’s a shame that we didn’t get Super Smash Bros. this week, but Super Turrican more than makes up for it.
