Tomb Raider Anniversary heading to Wii

When Eidos first announced Tomb Raider Anniversary, the fact that it was headed to only the PSP, PS2, and PC surprised me. With something as big as Lara’s 10th anniversary, you’d think they’d give her the next-gen console treatment. Turns out, they are. Eidos announced today that Tomb Raider Anniversary will be making an appearance on Nintendo’s Wii.
The Wii version of the game should resemble the upcoming PS2/PC release as a remake of the original PSone Tomb Raider, and will of course make full use of the unique Wiimote controller. We haven’t seen any screenshots of the Wii version yet, so it’s anyone’s guess as to if the visuals will be improved (PC version is pictured above).
Tomb Raider Anniversary is due out for the PSP, PS2, and PC later this June. A release date for the Wii version has yet to be determined, but expect it to ship sometime this year.
