Super Mario Stadium Baseball Announced, First Screens

At its Japanese press conference today, Nintendo announced Super Mario Stadium Baseball for Wii. Scheduled for a 2008 release in Japan, the game looks to be a Wii-ified version of 2005’s GameCube title Mario Superstar Baseball complete with motion sensing controls.

Doubtful; they've been milkin' it since what, 1982? It's not really about Mario the character, per say; it's more about the actual gameplay of the games that he's just a pluggable face in.
