While RPG king Square-Enix has no plans to make a Final Fantasy-themed fitness game, Revenant Wings director Motomu Toriyama has revealed plans to make use of the Wii Fit’s new balance board peripheral in unnamed, future titles.

Right now we’re mostly interested in Wii Fit. We’re really intrigued by it.

Toriyama went on to further elaborate.

There are no actual plans to take Final Fantasy into the fitness genre, but that whole system and mechanism of using your weight and balance to control games is something we’re interested in incorporating into future RPG titles.

This could allow for some interesting gameplay possibilities, what do you think?
