Good ‘ol SEGA was a little concerned that the Wii was going to be just a fad not too long ago, but now the company seems to have more faith in Nintendo’s console.
Speaking in a recent interview, Sega president Simon Jeffrey stated that he believes the Wii’s low development costs mean more third-party games, as well as more original content than on Xbox 360 and PS3 over the next couple years.
There is no doubt that we will see more risks, and therefore more creativity on both the Wii and the DS in the next couple of years. Just look at what EA is already doing on the Wii – EA doesn’t usually do that kind of game.
