Rumor: Animal Crossing MMO, Downloadable Game Boy Games For DS

According to UK gaming mag Edge, the upcoming Wii iteration of Animal Crossing is set to be a social networking MMO.
Of course Nintendo hasn’t officially confirmed anything, but if true, it makes sense. From the start, Animal Crossing was designed to be a social type of game. It’s no surprise that moving the series online is the next step.
Apart from the Animal Crossing MMO rumor, Edge also report that Nintendo will soon release an official DS flash card that will allow users to download and play old Game Boy titles legally on their Nintendo DS. Didn’t see this coming at all — but with the success of the Virtual Console, I suppose it also makes sense.
