Not just Resident Evil 2! Speaking in a recent interview, Capcom producer Masachika Kawata revealed that he has an interest in remaking previous titles from the Resident Evil series, namely RE1-3, for the Wii.

Whether or not the titles get remade seems to be largely up to the success of the upcoming Umbrella Chronicles, as Kawata said that UC is more of a test to see how well the RE franchise will sell on Wii. Simply put, uncertainty of the Wii’s success is why Capcom isn’t bringing Resident Evil 5 over to the Wii.
