Reggie Baffled At Core Gamer Dissapointment

It’s safe to say that anyone who has been a hardcore Nintendo fan over the years felt a bit let down by the company’s E3 conference yesterday. Speaking in an interview with G4, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime said he couldn’t understand why, though:

How could you feel left out? The Animal Crossing that we’ve been hearing about that people wanted. Fully connected to the Internet, go to other people’s towns. Plus as I said, Grand Theft Auto on the DS. How do you feel left out with those types of announcements?

Even though it’ll be a great game, you know that Animal Crossing doesn’t fall under the hardcore genre we’re talking about, Reggie. Sure, Grand Theft Auto for DS got us a little excited, but that was it! Most of us would have liked to see at least one more core title for Wii. That’s where the disappointment lies.

wtf, is Reggie clueless? I love my Wii, but it's collecting dust.

I have to agree with Sardu. At one time I had two Wii's one for the game room and one for the living room for the general audiences to play. I sold the second cause it did nothing more than collect dust. Without any new 1st party or even good third party GAMES to play my Wii is nothing more than a fancy looking paper weight.

I can't believe they didn't announce any new games. Where is Kid Icarus? Where is a new Zelda? Maybe a Luigi's Mansion sequel? Anything is better than nothing. They could even give us a new 1080 snowboarding or actually give us Wii Sports Resort THIS YEAR. But nope...nada. Very disappointing Nintendo and Reggie...dude...your an idiot!

I agree completely with many of the core gamers out there. Nintendo's show was abysmal. All they could talk about were smiles (aka money).
