Nintendo Power Confirms Mega Man 9 For WiiWare

Update: First scans added. Unfortunately, they’re incredibly small, so it’s hard to make out anything, but they do confirm that Mega Man 9 is indeed 2D, with retro 8-bit style visuals.
The latest issue of Nintendo Power has a full page article on the once-rumored Mega Man 9. While we have yet to locate actual scans, the article reportedly mentions that the game is in development by Inticreates of Mega Man ZX fame and will be released digitally on WiiWare.
Will MM9 be making its way to other download outlets, such as PSN and XBLA? It’s likely. Of course you can’t expect Nintendo Power to mention that, though. Either way, expect an official announcement soon, on or before E3.
