It’s official — the wait for Samus Aran’s 2D-3D hybrid outing has inched closer to the end of summer. In a statement released today, Nintendo confirmed that Wii titles Metroid Other M and Sin and Punishment Star Successor have been pushed back to June 27 and August 31 respectively. Hardly surprising, considering delays are a thing of second nature when it comes to the house of Mario.

The confirmation echoes a rumor that cropped up earlier this week by way of retail listings. Look below for the full statement.

Nintendo today updated information for some of its key upcoming software releases, including several new titles that previously had not been dated. Sin & Punishment™: Star Successor and Metroid™: Other M will now launch for Wii™ on June 27 and Aug. 31, respectively.
