N’Gai Croal: Metroid Should Have Remained 2D

Was the switch to 3D for the good of the Metroid series? Respected gaming journalist N’Gai Croal doesn’t think so, in fact he strongly believes that the series should have stuck to 2D.

No, the reason that I haven’t gotten further in Metroid Prime 3 is that because while the game does many, many terrific and admirable things, Metroid is a franchise that should never have made the jump from 2-D third-person to 3-D first-person.

Do you agree with N’Gai? Should Metroid return to its 2D roots?

On the first MP I could never get used to the controls, I need double-stick.:p Never played any others but Hunters, but that was DS.

I would like to see a 3D Third Person Metroid and not an ego perspektive... somethin similar to tomb raider but just with typical metroid riddles.. would like that though
