Impossible Mission to be first downloadable Wii game

We’ve known of Impossible Mission for some time, it’s essentially a glorified remake of the classic Commodore 64 game, complete with updated graphics and music. It was previously announced as a retail game, but new information has come to light in Nintendo’s very own Nintendo Power magazine revealing that the game will also be released on the Wii Shop Channel as a downloadable title.

To date, only Virtual Console titles have been available for purchase via the Wii Shop Channel, Impossible Mission will be the first real Wii game to be released as a download this summer. No word yet on file size, but hopefully a 1GB SD Card will be enough to hold this gem.
