Confirmed: Mario Kart Wii 16 Player Online Battles

The latest issue of the UK’s Official Nintendo Magazine has divulged new details on Mario Kart Wii, revealing that it will indeed support up to 16 players in the online battle mode. This was something that Nintendo was rather quiet about at E3 so it’s nice to see that it is finally confirmed.
Additionally, the magazine reports that classic tracks from Mario Kart DS will be re-created with Wii graphics. On top of that, there will also be a selection of Wii-exclusive tracks to choose from.
