It’s hard to believe that Mario Party is already on its eighth rendition (well – tenth if you count Mario Party-e and Mario Party Advance). Mario Party 8 promises to continue the tradition with all-new mini-games, game modes, and characters. On the mini-games showcased in the trailer above, players will use the Wii Remote to lasso barrels, cut wood, and steer while tubing.
The Wii chapter of this seemingly endless series is due out next week in the US. Check out the trailer above that Nintendo showcased at this week’s Media Summit, along with some new screens after the jump.

As much as I bash the MP games for being the same game over and over, this one looks good.
