Castlevania Judgment Revealed For Wii, It’s A Fighter

Yes, the long-rumored Castlevania Judgment is real. And yes, it’s in development for Wii. Not only that, it’s a fighter sporting 3D visuals. The screenshot above, scanned in from U.S. based mag Nintendo Power, pretty much speaks for itself.

Confirmed characters currently include Dracula, Simon, Alucard, Shanoa, and Maria Renard. Similar to the traditional Castlevania games, players can make use of secondary items in Judgment, such as holy water and daggers, although using them will cost you hearts.

More interestingly, players will be able to set traps in the midst of battle and the game will feature fully destructible environments. Additionally, the game will utilize the Nunchuck for character movement, while the Wii Remote can be used to perform motion attacks.

Doesn’t sound like your average fighter, at least. Being a huge Castlevania fan, I’m sort of perplexed here. Entering the fighting genre honestly seems like an odd move, but I’ll remain cautiously hopeful for the time being.
