Capcom: No Okami Sequel Until More Folks Buy The Original

The hopes of fans waiting for a true follow-up to Okami may have just been dashed, as Capcom VP Christian Svensson writes on the company’s official message board that a sequel is out of the question, unless “a lot more people” start buying the original.
I think we need a lot more people buying the current version before we seriously consider a sequel.
In that case, all we can do is hope sales of the Wii port continue. But then again, do we really want a sequel to Okami? Seeing as the original talent – Clover Studio – is no longer with Capcom.
