Team Noobz have rolled out a useful utility to change the PSP’s MAC address back to its correct value for those who have either replaced the WiFi board in their PSP, or have manually altered the MAC address in the IDstorage.

I didn't even know you could replace the Wifi board. Could you maybe replace it with one that actually has good range?

Chilly Willy says:

The biggest issue is with idiot service centers - sometimes when people have their PSP go dead and take it to one to get fixed, the idiots will swap the mobo, but not realize that the wifi and mobo should go together. They take the old wifi daughterboard and stick it on the new mobo. Now the mobo idstorage and wifi no longer match. This app will correct the idstorage so it matches the wifi module.
