Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow Taps Into PSP’s 333MHz

Ready at Dawn’s God of War: Chains of Olympus isn’t the only PSP game that will be taking advantage of the PSP’s full clock speed. SCEA technical director Chris Reese has confirmed that the upcoming Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow will also be clocked at 333MHz.
Now we have the ability to introduce Havok physics, water rendering/gameplay (as seen in the screenshot above), larger environments with significantly more interactive elements, and faster AI response times. In short, tapping into the full processor speed of PSP offers increased gameplay opportunities, while still providing the high production qualities you would expect after playing Dark Mirror.
Seems that all, if not a majority of high profile PSP titles will be clocked at 333MHz for enhanced visuals. It’s great news – just surprising that it has taken Sony this long to do it, but better late than never I suppose.
