Square Enix today lifted the lid on its E3 lineup, revealing two previously unannounced efforts, NIER and Front Mission Evolved.

With a renewed focus on Western development comes a more diverse product portfolio from the house that made Final Fantasy, crossing the genres of action, shooter, and real-time strategy.

Placing players in the role of a determined protagonist in a quest to his save his virus-stricken daughter, NIER is set in a crumbling world ridden with dark, demonic creatures of an unrecognizable type. Developed by cavia, the title is due out in 2010.

In a first for the series, Front Mission Evolved departs from the series’ stable of tactical, turn-based gameplay and thrusts players into an intense third-person shooter environment. Set in an immersive world, featured is a single player campaign and online multiplayer component. Double Helix is handling development duties on the title. A release date has yet to be announced.

Apart from those two titles, the remainder of the lineup is nothing new, but a sizable chunk of it will be playable for the first time at E3. See the full list after the break.

Follow Roxas and the rest of Organization XIII across the various Disney Worlds, and discover the connection between him, Sora and the mysterious 14th member, and the reasons behind his eventual departure from the organization. KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 Days also features a multiplayer mode for the first time, allowing players to control their favorite Organization XIII members!

ORDER OF WAR

Square Enix teams up with strategy game specialist Wargaming.net to present ORDER OF WAR, a brand-new IP set for a simultaneous release across multiple territories. Developed exclusively for Windows PC, the game features massive-scale battles brought to life with a cinematic intensity never seen before in a WWII strategy game. Players will take command of an entire army including ground troops, artillery, tank divisions and aircraft in all-out strategic assaults. The single-player mode can be played out in two campaigns – American versus German forces on the western front and German versus Russian on the eastern front. Missions will be based on key historic events and operations from 1944.
